christians

who is a christian? wikipedia has a pretty good definition: Christians - Wikipedia "Christians are people who follow or adhere to Christianity, a monotheistic Abrahamic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ."

Consider venn diagrams. wikipedia has a pretty good description of those too: Venn diagram - Wikipedia

Consider a large circle labeled "people". This represents all people.

Within the "people" circle, there's a "Christians" circle. Christians are people, but not all people are Christians.

along the circumference of the "Christians" circle are several circles--each circle representing a different Christian denomination, e.g. roman catholic, baptist, etc. each of these "denomination" circles on the circumference of the Christians circle are part inside and part outside the Christians circle, e.g. some roman catholics are true Christians (they follow or adhere to the teachings of Jesus Christ), and others do not.

True believers in Jesus Christ are all those who believe or adhere to the teachings of God in the person of Jesus Christ.

The point is that Christianity is not defined by any single denomination. In fact, there are true Christians who don't ascribe to any particular denomination.
