fourth quarter

while the origin of the idiom "face the music" is unknown, it's meaning isn't. to "face the music" means "to accept the unpleasant consequences of one's actions".  at the end of the fourth quarter, I will "face the music".  scary thought. 

I am the prodigal son.  gifted from birth.  good home.  loving parents.  loving wife and children.  I have everything.  blessed.    I missed the boat.  I chose poorly.  I did it my way.  unworthy of my Father's gifts.    now,  despite my unworthiness,  I crawl to my Father.  I'm sorry.   

mistakes...  bad choices...  would-have-beens... should-have beens... focus on the blessings... focus on the now... woe--my tortured mind.
