on the other hand, look at the history of the world.
there is so much evil.
"live" and "evil" seem to go together--"hand-in-hand".
forgiving myself
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Does God expect us to forgive ourselves for our trespasses? Did the prodigal son forgive himself for his trespasses? It seems to me that he may have since he joined the party that his father gave for him. Did Peter forgive himself for denying Jesus three times? Did Judas forgive himself for betraying Jesus?
